Boys Volleyball Loses Heartbreaker in Sectional to Elkhart

The Warsaw Tigers Men’s Volleyball team saw its season come to a close Wednesday night in the opening round of the IHSAA Sectional at Northridge, falling to Elkhart in a hard-fought, five-set battle. After dropping the opening two sets, the Tigers showed tremendous resilience by storming back to even the match before eventually falling 20-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-20, 10-15. "Our determination and growth throughout the season were on full display," said Coach Jason Fleming afterward. "We refused to back down, battling point-for-point to force a decisive fifth set in one of the most competitive matches of the year." Leading the Tigers offensively was Logan Carl with 13 kills and 11 digs, while Levi Brath added 11 kills and 2 blocks. Ben Harlan contributed 11 kills of his own, and Cadyn Greer controlled the net with 7 kills and 4 blocks. Mac Tucker directed the offense with 17 assists and 2 aces, while Patryck Bocianski added 16 assists. Defensively, Silas Hill led the back row with 18 digs, Sam Bowers added 8 digs, and Nolan Haussmann chipped in 2 kills and 4 digs. Warsaw finishes the season with a 12-10 overall record, marking another successful year for the growing program. In just the second season of existence, the Tigers secured their second consecutive season with 11 or more wins while remaining undefeated in conference play once again. With a young core returning and valuable postseason experience gained, the Tigers will look to build on the momentum of another strong season as they reload and prepare for the future of Warsaw Men’s Volleyball.
