Boys Volleyball Claims Win in Home Opener

The Warsaw Tigers came out with energy, confidence, and purpose—and never let up—earning a dominant straight-set victory over the Northwood Panthers, 25-15, 25-15, 25-14. With the win, Warsaw evens its early season record at 1-1 and builds strong momentum moving forward. From the opening serve, the Tigers were locked in and firing on all cylinders. The offense was explosive and well-balanced, led by senior Levi Brath who powered home 8 kills. Senior Logan Carl added 6 kills with authority, while junior Cadyn Greer chipped in 5 and junior Ben Harlan contributed 4, showcasing the depth and versatility of the Warsaw attack. Running the show with precision and poise, the setting duo of sophomore Patryck Bocianski and junior Mac Tucker orchestrated a fast-paced, high-energy offense. Bocianski dished out 13 assists while Tucker added 10, keeping Northwood on its heels all night. Serving proved to be a major spark for the Tigers, as relentless pressure from the service line kept momentum firmly on Warsaw’s side. Sam Bowers and Patryck Bocianski each delivered 3 aces, while Cadyn Greer added 2, fueling scoring runs and igniting the team’s energy. Defensively, the Tigers were just as impressive. Sam Bowers anchored the back row with an outstanding 14 digs, while Logan Carl added 11 in a gritty, all-out effort. Silas Hill contributed key plays with 3 digs, helping maintain control throughout the match. At the net, Levi Brath and Cadyn Greer formed a dominant blocking presence, racking up 3 and 4 blocks respectively and shutting down Northwood’s attack. The night was a complete team performance—fast, aggressive, and full of positive momentum—as the Tigers found their rhythm and played with confidence and unity. The JV Tigers also delivered an exciting performance, battling their way to a hard-fought three-set victory, 25-18, 12-25, 25-15. John Conley led the charge with an all-around effort, tallying 4 kills, 3 aces, and 4 digs. Lus Numann added 3 kills, 1 block, and 2 aces, while Fisher Whitaker and Jonah Burgher each chipped in 2 kills. Burgher also made a big impact from the service line with 3 aces. Setting the tone offensively, Ryan Carnes recorded 10 assists and added 4 digs, while Barret Hodorek contributed 5 assists in a strong team effort. Defensively, Ethan Wolfe stood tall with 5 digs, helping secure the win. With both varsity and JV squads showing strong cohesion, energy, and resilience, the Tigers are building something special early in the season. Warsaw looks to carry this momentum into their next matchup as they return to the court Monday at South Bend Riley.
