Lady Tiger Swimmers Matilda Granger and Anna Stevens went to the State Finals at the Indiana University Natatorium in Indianapolis Friday. Unfortunately, neither were able to advance to Saturday's event finals. Granger was 29th in the prelims of the 200 Freestyle race with a time of 2:03.05. To make the top 16 and swim in the finals, she would have had to beat 1:53.71. Stevens came in 22nd in the 50 Freestyle with a prelim time of 24.44, which topped her seed time of 24.85. To make the finals, she would have needed a time better than 23.77. Divers Sophie Stewart (2nd at Regional) and Titiksha Gorhe (6th) will represent Warsaw in the diving finals. In the diving order, Sophie is 17th and Titiksha will go 19th. Watch the girls compete today on www.ihsaatv.org. The prelims start at 9am and the finals at 1pm.
