Jackson Gackenheimer of Tiger boys cross country and the girls team are preparing for the state finals Saturday in Terre Haute. Here is the schedule for Saturday: 9:30 AM Gates Open 11:40 AM Boys report to starting line 11:45 AM National Anthem 12:00 PM Boys Championship Race 12:40 PM Girls report to starting line 1:00 PM Girls Championship Race 2:00 PM Boys and Girls Awards Ceremony (or 20 mins after the conclusion of the race) Team Tents: All team tents are to be located north of the start line in either tent city east or tent city west. Only participants and coaches will be permitted in this area. Team tents are not to be set up until race day. Lavern Gibson or the IHSAA are not responsible for tents. Concessions: Will be available. IHSAA Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (Drone) Policy: Prohibition at IHSAA Tournament Series events: The use of an unmanned aerial vehicle (“UAV”), also known as a drone, at or about an IHSAA Tournament Series site during (or within 30 minutes of) an IHSAA Tournament Series event is prohibited. Note: The IHSAA will operate a drone at the 2025-2026 Cross Country State Finals for broadcasting purposes. Weather Conditions: The state finals meet will be held as scheduled, regardless of weather conditions. Spectators: Spectators must stay behind the fenced area and/or white lines during the competition. NO overnight parking is permitted. The facility closes at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1st. Admission: All ticket sales will be digital only via Eventlink ticketing. No cash. Please purchase tickets online in advance and present your purchase verification on your phone to gain admittance at the gate. $15.00 (additional fees may apply) for school age and above. NO PETS are allowed in the complex. Service animals are permitted. Note: Wi-Fi and cell service can be spotty and delay the process in having your ticket available to redeem. To assist with entering the facility faster, please have your ticket pulled up and ready as you are pulling up when approaching the gate to enter. Streaming: Both state championship races will stream exclusively at IHSAAtv.org via pay-per-view for $15 per race. A send-off will be held at 8am Friday outside the athletics office with a police escort for the athletes and coaches. A course map is attached.
