Tigers Roar to Victory Over Northridge in JV Football Season Finale

The Warsaw Tigers JV football closed out their regular season with a resounding 44-7 triumph over the Northridge Raiders on Saturday. The Tigers, finishing the season at 5-4 overall and 3-4 in the Northern Lakes Conference. The tone was set early as freshman running back Mason Silveus powered into the end zone for a rushing touchdown, igniting the Warsaw faithful. The defense stepped up in a big way, with Jack Bradford delivering a clutch pass breakup to deny Northridge a potential score. The Tigers’ offense kept rolling as Nolan Himes punched in a 9-yard touchdown run, further cementing Warsaw’s control. The defensive line made their presence felt when Breylon Ellis brought down the Northridge quarterback with a sack, stifling the Raiders’ momentum. Just before halftime, quarterback Cohen McCray connected with Micah Kohler for an 18-yard touchdown pass. Nate Trusty capped the first half with a successful 2-point conversion rush, giving Warsaw a commanding 22-7 lead at the break. The Tigers wasted no time asserting their dominance in the second half. On the very first play, Ryan Carnes scooped up a fumble and raced to the end zone for a defensive touchdown. Silveus added a 2-point conversion rush to extend the lead 30-7. The defense continued to shine as Ethan Rivich snagged an interception, and Riley Hogendobbler made a critical pick earlier in the game, thwarting Northridge’s offensive efforts. Warsaw’s offense kept the pedal down as McCray added a rushing touchdown of his own, and Clayton Dias sealed the win with a rushing touchdown and a 2-point conversion. The Tigers’ relentless attack and suffocating defense overwhelmed the Raiders, leading to a final score of 44-7.
