Football Wins NLC Opener at Goshen

Warsaw forced Goshen into five first-half punts and turned all five into scores in a 37-7 win at Goshen Friday. Warsaw's defense held the RedHawks to -24 total rushing yards for the game and 100 total yards of offense. DE Grady Nelson had 2 of Warsaw's 4 sacks. Tucker Reed carried the ball only 5 times but racked up 140 yards and a 34-yard touchdown. Quinton Brock ran for two scores while Daylon Fitzpatrick and Brody Duncan each scored one. Warsaw moved to 2-1 on the season. Goshen fell to 1-2. The Tigers host "The W Trophy Game" Friday as Wawasee comes to Fisher Field. Kickoff is 7pm.
