At halftime of the Tigers' home opener Friday, Warsaw found themselves in a 21-0 hole and on the verge of being blown out. They weren't having it. Warsaw rallied with a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter, but their comeback effort came up short in a 28-14 loss to the Warriors. Quinton Brock and Daylon Fitzpatrick scored the touchdowns, and Wyatt Harman ran for a two-point conversion after the first score. After the Tigers had cut the deficit to 21-14, the Tigers got the ball back with a chance to tie or take the lead. They could not cash in on the opportunty, and the Warriors scored the clinching touchdown--a third touchdown for Keyon Thomas. Warsaw falls to 1-1 with a road trip to Goshen on tap for next Friday as conference play begins.
