Baseball Teams Come Up Short at Northridge

Warsaw baseball fell 4-2 to Northridge Wednesday in Middlebury. Rogan Bailey and Wyatt Stapleton had run scoring hits for the Tigers in the second for the Tigers only runs of the game. But Northridge broke through with 3 in the 4th, then added an insurance run in the bottom of the 6th. Warsaw had plenty of traffic on the basepaths, collecting 10 hits on the night. But the Tigers left 10 men on base. Brandt Martin was terrific on the mound, pitching a complete game for Warsaw, scattering 7 hits over 6 innings and one earned run. The junior varsity lost at Northridge 13-12 after the Raiders plated 6 runs in the bottom of the 7th. Box scores from both games are attached. Warsaw Varsity Tigers play at home on Friday against Concord Varsity Minuteman in their next game.
