For the second straight night, the Tiger baseball team played beyond the standard 7 innings. Unfortunately, Tuesday's outcome did not have a happy ending. The Tiger lost in 11 innings by a score of 7-6 at Carroll in a non-conference matchup on a game-winning single by Eric Tratnyek. Cohen Heady went 2-6 and drove in four runs for the Tigers in the loss. Warsaw got on the board in the first when Grady Nelson singled home a run. The Chargers 4 of their own in the bottom of the first. Warsaw would add another run in the 3rd to make it 4-2, but Jaxon Sparks homered to center field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the fourth for Carroll to make it 6-2. The Tigers would mount a comeback, starting with a 3-run home run by Cohen Heady to right field in the 5th. Warsaw added another run in the 7th to force extra innings, and the score remained 6-6 until the bottom of the 11th. Cole Hanas earned the win for Carroll. Reed Nelson took the tough-luck loss for the Tigers, giving up only an unearned run on two hits in an 1.1 innings Heady, Nelson, and Rogan Bailey each collected two hits for Warsaw. The full box score for the game is attached. Warsaw will travel to Northridge for NLC action Wednesday.
