Big Inning for Baseball Comes in 8th in Win at NorthWood

By Roger Grossman | Apr 28, 2025 10:44 PM

Warsaw has been known for having games decided by big innings this season, and Monday's NLC win at 12-6 win at NorthWood is no exception. The Tigers scored 7 times in the 8th inning to lift the Tigers to victory. Two Panther errors in the fateful 8th opened the door for Warsaw, and they promptly kicked that door in. Oliver Nisen has 3 hits for the Tigers with a pair of doubles and 3 RBI's. Grady Nelson was 2-5 at the plate, driving in a run and scoring twice. Three Tiger pitchers--Brock Bowser, Reed Nelson and Quinton Brock--combined to go the distance and strike out 12 Panthers. The junior varsity Tigers lost 4-3 at NorthWood. A 7th inning rally by the Tigers plated 2 runs but left them a run short of tying the game. Box scores for both games are attached.
