Warsaw Lady Tigers Compete in Two Invitational Races The Warsaw Lady Tigers split the squad on Saturday, competing in two separate invitationals as the team continued its preparation for the championship portion of the season. One group traveled to Carmel to compete in the Flashrock Invitational on the grounds of North Church, while the second squad competed at the West Noble Invitational in Ligonier. Flashrock Invitational – Carmel The Lady Tigers competed against a loaded championship field at the Flashrock Invitational, finishing 9th as a team with 255 points. Dani Rastrelli led the way for Warsaw, placing 19th overall in a time of 19:30.24. Matilda Granger continued her strong stretch of performances, finishing second for the Tigers and 40th overall in 20:17.32. C.C. Scheets-Holland returned to the Warsaw scoring five, posting a time of 20:40.74 to finish 50th overall. Savannah Purdy followed in 21:12.42, placing 67th overall and fourth for the Tigers. A flurry of Tigers followed across the finish line, with Eden Gackenheimer finishing fifth for Warsaw in 21:48.08, good for 79th overall. Kyla Transparenti was close behind in 21:48.38, placing 80th, while Isadora Vega finished 81st in 21:48.84. Warsaw also received strong efforts from Stephanie Malagon-Juarez in 22:24.08, Neko Ewert, who recorded a new personal best of 22:39.62, Estelle Jaumard in 22:45.28, and Greta Loebs in 23:07.18. West Noble Invitational – Ligonier West Noble Invite Recap The second Warsaw squad competed at the West Noble Invitational in Ligonier, battling through soggy course conditions and a competitive field. Reegan Demange led the Lady Tigers with a 56th-place finish in 22:45.5. Baylee Wieringa followed in 65th place with a time of 23:10.7. Rylee Rice finished 79th in 23:44.9, followed closely by Zoey Gooch, who placed 82nd in 23:49.0. Katie Robertson rounded out the Warsaw scoring five, finishing 87th in 23:55.8. Several Tigers turned in notable performances. Emily Marquez recorded a new personal best of 24:41.6 to finish 103rd, while Grace Landon finished 105th in 24:42.7 and Callaway Waldo was 106th in 24:42.9. Mya McClain finished 117th in 25:35.8, followed by Anna Sorgi in 119th at 25:37.8. Amelia Schotter placed 126th in 26:04.0, and Lorelei Powers finished 133rd in 26:55.3. Strong Day for the Tigers Across the two invitationals, the Lady Tigers recorded seven new personal bests while putting together strong performances on two very soggy courses. Splitting the squad allowed Warsaw runners to gain valuable racing experience against quality competition while continuing to build toward the most important meets of the season. The Lady Tigers will now have a week to prepare before returning to competition at Culver.
