The Warsaw Tigers continued their perfect start to the season with a commanding 36-16 win over Mishawaka, improving to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in Northern Lakes Conference play. Warsaw struck first in the opening quarter when quarterback Clayton Dias found CJ Hutton for a touchdown at the 6:20 mark. Nolin Himes punched in the two-point conversion to give the Tigers an early 8-0 lead they would never relinquish. The Tigers extended their advantage early in the second quarter as Dias connected with Himes on a 20-yard scoring strike at 9:56, making it 14-0. Warsaw’s defense came up big before the half when Bryson Ellis recorded a sack and Brandon Wolfe recovered a fumble, helping the Tigers take a 14-0 lead into intermission. Mason Silveus broke the game open in the third quarter with a spectacular 65-yard touchdown run at 9:06. Keagan Patrick added the two-point conversion to push the lead to 22-0. Later in the period, Patrick powered in from eight yards out at the 1:34 mark, and Himes again converted the two-point try to make it 30-8. Colton Beard capped the scoring with a 70-yard touchdown rush in the final minute of the fourth quarter, sealing the 36-16 final. The Tigers controlled the line of scrimmage and showcased a balanced attack featuring strong running and efficient passing. Warsaw will look to stay undefeated when it hosts Wawasee on Saturday at 10 a.m.
