Warsaw beat Mishawaka for the second time this season, posting a 6-4 win over the Cavemen Wednesday at Tiger Field. Kael Miller was the hitting hero, banging out three singles that drove in two runs and also scoring a run. Spencer Love continued his great spring with two more hits and a pair of RBIs. Jack Bradford drove in the other 2 runs for Warsaw. A 4-run opening inning put the Tigers in front, and an additional run in the 3rd inning made it 5-0. The Cavemen fought back with 3 runs in the 5th and a run in the 6th to trail 5-4, but Warsaw would tack on an insurance run in the bottom of the 6th. Freshman Andrew Shaw got the start and pitched 4 scoreless innings despite walking 4 and giving up 3 hits. Quinton Brock shut down the Mishawaka rally by striking out 6 in 2.2 innings. The junior varsity Tigers also beat Mishawaka by a score of 10-2. Tonight’s box scores are attached. Warsaw has a makeup game at home Thursday against Concord.
