The Lady Tiger Track & Field team won their own sectional Tuesday night. It was their 19th straight championship and the 26th in school history. Warsaw's team score of 112.5 beat Elkhart's 100 and Fairfield's 79. Eden Metz was Warsaw's only sectional champ, finishing first in the 800m run with a time of 2:15.64. The top 3 in each event automatically advance to the regional. Advancing for the Lady Tigers was Metz in the 800m; the 4 x 800m relay team of Hannah Schini, Eden Gackenheimer, Sammi Rastrelli, and Dani Rastrelli (2nd); Bailee Krieger in the 100m Hurdles (3rd); Dani Rastrelli in the 1600m run (2nd); the 4 x 100m Relay team of Annie Scholl, Darline Nelson, Claire Walters, and Lucy Andrew (2nd); Melayna Howett in the 300m Hurdles (3rd); Gracie Boren in the 800m (2nd); Sami Rastrelli in the 3200m run (2nd); the 4 x 400m Relay team of Darline Nelson, Gracie Boren, Finley Hummitch, and Eden Metz; Cassie Jackson in the Discus (2nd).
