The Warsaw Tigers were spread out across the Midwest and East Coast this weekend at incredible venues and meet environments and they represented us incredibly well. There were multiple highlights over the past few days and none more impressive than Jordan Randall leaping to a National Championship at the Nike Indoor Nationals in New York at The Armory by being the only athlete to clear 7’1.75”, a new school record as well. His winning jump left room to spare and a lot to look forward to as he looks to become a 3-time Indoor State Champion in two weeks. School Record Falls! Closer to home, Warsaw had another school record fall as Zander Bail dropped Blake Keene’s 2024 60 Hurdles record of 8.71 to an impressive 8.62. Zander just missed breaking the record one week ago and made the most of his opportunity on Saturday. Bulldog Invite Meet Champions! Warsaw pulled off an unexpected meet victory with strong showings through all events. The Tigers capitalized on huge improvements to take top scoring spots in nearly every event. We not only saw huge growth over the past week with our performances but we are seeing new faces step into roles they have not been in before. Looking at our relays and events, there are a lot of guys playing major roles so far this season who were not ready or not able to compete at the Varsity level last year; to see them thrive in more challenging situations is a great step for them and us as a program. Huge congratulations to our 2x NATIONAL CHAMPION, Jordan Randall! Winning a NC once is amazing but to repeat is far more impressive. His consistency has been absolutely remarkable. Also, massive shout out to Zander Bail who is coming along strong in the hurdles and his technique is starting to click. We thought the 60H record was safe for a while but Zander had different plans! This has been a very exciting start to the season for the Tigers and we are eager to get back to work and improve on these impressive results and performances.” Next meets: Friday, March 20 at Trine University (5:30p start).
