Warsaw jumped out to an early lead then had to hold on in the 4th quarter of a 54-47 win over Marion in the Tiger Den Tuesday. Warsaw led 13-4 after one quarter, and with 4:28 left in the third Warsaw led 34-15. But the Giants scored 15 points in the final 4:28 of the quarter to get to within 9. The Tigers were able to make enough plays down the stretch to preserve the win and get them to 10-10 on the season. Mydin Burgher led the scoring with 19, while Gabe Ioane scored a season-high 13 in the victory. The junior varsity won a thriller over Marion 66-61. Four Tigers finished in double figures: Landon Kralis 18, Alex Higdon 14, Ayden Simcoe 13 and Andrew Shaw 12. The Tigers host Plymouth Friday for Senior Night.
