The fourth-ranked Warsaw girls basketball team won their final regular season game of the year with an impressive 72-57 win over 14th-ranked Bellmont in Decatur Wednesday night. Warsaw struggle until late in the 2nd quarter. Trailing 28-16 with 2:30 to play in the half, a Brooke Zartman 3-point play started a 13-3 run to end the half with the Lady Tigers down by two. Warsaw would continue that run into the 3rd quarter, taking the 12-point deficit before halftime and turning it into a 3-point lead on a Zartman 3-pointer with 5:43 left in the quarter. Joslyn Bricker led Warsaw with 32 points, while Zartman scored 20. The 23rd win establishes a new school record for regular season wins. The junior varsity finished their season with a 70-17 win over Bellmont Wednesday, ending their season with a 19-3 record. The varsity will play in the sectional at Goshen next week. They drew a first round bye, and will play the winner of Tuesday's Goshen/Elkhart game in the second semifinal next Friday.
