The Warsaw Elementary City Basketball Championships were held in the Tiger Den Wednesday, with the Jefferson girls and boys taking home titles. Jefferson won the girls championship for the first time since the last of a three-peat in the winter of 2020-2021 by beating Lincoln 19-10. The Spartans held the Lions to just 3 points in the final three quarters after falling behind 7-2 early. Jefferson finished the season unbeaten, while Lincoln ended at 8-3, with two of their three losses coming to Jefferson. In the boys final, Jefferson won their third straight championship with a convincing 33-4 win over Washington. The Spartans held the Hornets to just 2 points though the first three quarters of the game. The Jefferson finished the season 11-0, while Washington ended their season with a 8-3 mark.
