Two big basketball events are coming up for our Tiger and Lady Tiger teams. First, the Henry Community Health Girls’ Hall of Fame Classic is Monday Dec. 22 at New Castle Fieldhouse--the World's Largest High School Fieldhouse. The Lady Tigers play the opening game of the four-team event against Evansville Central at 11am, followed by Norwell and Plainfield. The consolation game begins at 6pm that night, followed by the championship. The Warsaw Athletic Department has already purchased tickets for the day, and you can get them in the athletic office during school hours. Here is how they are priced: 1 ticket is $10; 4 tickets are $25; 10 or more tickets are $50 total. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 each. The second event will be on December 30, when both the boys and girls teams will be playing in the "Hoosiers Gym" in Knightstown. This is the old-style gym made famous in the 1986 movie "Hoosiers" as the home court of the fictional Hickory Huskers. The boys team will play Providence at 5:30pm, and the girls will play Fairfield following the boys game. Tickets are very limited because of the small size of the gym. Only 150 vouchers will be available to Warsaw fans for each game. In order to enter, you must stop by the Warsaw Athletic Office and pick up a ticket voucher. That voucher must be presented at the door the night of the games, and that will allow you to buy a ticket for $10. There are specific vouchers for both games, and you must have a voucher for both games to buy tickets to watch both. The gym will be cleared immediately after the boys game and re-entry is only allowed with a girls game voucher, which allows voucher holders to buy a girls game ticket for $10.
