Boys Wrestling Wins 12 of 14 Matches, Dominates Rockies

The Tiger Wrestling team took down the Rockies on Thursday night in Plymouth. Warsaw got wins in 12 of 14 weight classes to earn a 66-12 NLC victory. Dakoda Goble-Salazar got things going with a fast start, earning a win by tech fall at 175 pounds. Liam Smith followed up with a quick pin at 190 pounds to put the Tigers up 11-0. After a win by forfeit at 215, Owen Corbin secured another win by pin at 285 and Warsaw led 23-0 heading back to the lightweights. Warsaw picked up forfeits at 106 and 113 to extend the margin to 35-0. At 120 pounds Nolan Stump battled to a tough 4-2 win by decision. Gabe Veit extended the lead with a win by pin at 126 before Plymouth would get on the board with wins at 132 and 138. The Tigers got tech fall wins from Leo Castro at 144 and Nick Rautenberg at 150 to go up 54-12. Warsaw closed the scoring with wins by forfeit at 157 and a pin by Enrique Silva at 165. Warsaw’s record is now 5-2 and 2-2 in the NLC. The Tigers will be in action Saturday at the Northridge Raider Duals.
